Firstly, apologies for the lack of posting over the past few days. This has been due to internet access problems, however, more regular postings will now resume.
A glance at the service changes for July 2010 sees only a few services up for amendment. Firstly, there are the some changes to TrentBarton’s Red Arrow route between Derby and Nottingham. This sees a frequency increase and new vehicles, which this blog will hopefully carry more detail on later in the month.
The other major changes are to the 54/55/56 group of services between Bingham – Bottesford / Newark, operated by Premiere, since 2008, under contract to Nottinghamshire County Council. Prior to this, the services were operated by Veolia.
Firstly, the 54 sees minor changes, with the two short journeys between Farndon and Newark (at 06:42 and 07:42) withdrawn. The 14:35 afternoon journey, ex-Newark now runs via Bingham Market Place at 15:26 on school days.
The 55 sees the 13:40 journey from Bingham withdrawn on Fridays (when Toot Hill School finish early). The 18:55 journey between Bingham and Elton is also withdrawn. In addition, new service 55A runs between Bingham and Staunton in the Vale, via Orston and Alverton. Journeys leave Bingham at 10:40 and 12:40, returning from Staunton at 11:05 and 13:05.
The 56 sees the 07:08 journey from Newark cut back to start at Hawksworth at 07:32. The remainder of journeys remain the same, including the 56B between Bottesford and Newark.
