Changes to the 241

TrentBarton have announced changes to their hourly 241 service, which operates between Clay Cross and Mansfield, via Pilsley, Tibshelf, Skegby and Sutton.

Despite some recent controversy surrounding another public consultation (see Omnibuses), the company asked users of the service for their opinions and following on from this they have outlined the final details of the proposed changes from the 25th October 2010.

The most major change sees the route extended from Clay Cross to Chesterfield, but the route cut-back from Mansfield to Sutton in Ashfield, where passengers can change onto any TrentBarton service to continue their journey. The route will also combine with the 141 (Sutton – Mansfield – Hucknall – Nottingham) service to provide a half hourly service around Stanton Hill and Healdswood into Sutton.

From the 25th October, the company are also unveiling a new brand for the 241, known as Spira. The colour of the branding is yet to be announced.
