As some readers may be aware, the Lincoln Christmas Market has been cancelled due to safety concerns because of the severe weather affecting much of the country. It was announced yesterday that a number of coach operators had already taken the decision to cancel their trips to the market. Stagecoach in Lincolnshire were scheduled to operate the Park & Ride service to the market, and had published details of their intended diversion routes for services. Obviously, neither of these will now be required.
East Midlands Trains had been intending to run additional train services from London to Lincoln on both Friday (03/12) and Saturday (04/12), but I’m presuming these trains will now not operate. Unfortunately, the EMT website is currently redirecting all traffic to the National Rail website so I am unable to confirm either way.
