Premiere announced on their Twitter page that the changes to the Red 5 will see it running daily to New Sawley, every 20 minutes.

As usual, the VOSA registrations on the others give very little away, but more information will be published here once new timetables become available.

  1. Aside from Premiere’s return to Hucknall, the other interesting entries on Vosa relate to NCT’s cancellation and re-registration of services 15/16, 87/88 and 89.

i assume that this is in a similar vein to the 21/39 cancellation and registration and hints at a route change?? Anyone have any details?

Returning to Premiere, it will be interesting to see if they can make a go of this route second time round – does it follow the same route as the X3 after Moor Bridge?

And is this finally the end of R2?

  2. It will also be interesting to see what Trent’s responce is as I would assume this is a low priority route to them – given the age of the fleet.

On reading the Premiere facebook it appears they see this route as a rival to not only Rainbow 3 but also the tram. I hope their projections are not based on the later, as travelling along Hucknall road into the city during the peak can be a very long and frustrating journey certainly no match for the speed of the tram.

  3. I would guess the 74 is the new yellow upgrade go2 to replace 68/69? Plus the purples are due for upgrade too shortly.

  4. Mr Trentside, can we have a thread to debate the NCT regustrations then please? Quite a few interesting posts on VOSA this week, that would hint at something more than simply putting new buses on.

  5. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in Hucknall & will trentbarton refocus on rainbow 3? Anyone remember the 344 service via hyson green, Bulwell then the Hucknall estates? Yes the tram is wonderfull but it’s had a massive impact on local bus routes further afield since it started unfortunately.
You could be forgiven for thinking premiere are only in business to play games with trentbarton lol
