Newark Bus Station – Open 12/11/11

Newark’s brand new bus station opens officially from today, the 12th November 2011. Although it becomes operational today, officials from the bus companies and local dignitaries attended a special opening ceremony yesterday, with members of the public invited to come and have a look around the new station.

Despite finding out about this only a couple of hours before, your author was able to get to Newark in time to take some photographs of the opening and of the new bus station.

About trentsidetraveller

A lifelong public transport user, enthusiast and occasional photographer. My travels take me around the country, occasionally overseas, but my most frequent journeys see me cross the River Trent on a regular basis. So the moniker of Trentside Traveller came about, and now I'm blogging about my travels, and the latest changes to public transport in the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire area.
